Paul Green

Board Member

Paul Green is a Montana-based business and community leader with a background in economic development, public service, and agriculture. He served in the U.S. Navy as a sonar technician aboard submarines and later earned his degree from Rocky Mountain College.

Green’s professional experience spans both the public and private sectors. He has operated a cow/calf business in Bighorn County and held several economic development leadership roles, including serving as executive director of the Montana Business Incubator (MBI), a NASA-affiliated program, and as economic development director for the City of Hardin. 

In addition to his economic development work, Green served in the Montana Legislature and was appointed Director of the Montana Department of Commerce, where he oversaw statewide initiatives related to business development, tourism, and economic growth.

A committed community member, Green has been actively involved in numerous civic and service organizations. He is a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. He is also a founding board member of the Bighorn Search and Rescue for Murdered and Missing Indigenous Persons, where he served as director until 2022. 

For nearly 20 years, he has coached football, baseball, softball and wrestling in Big Horn County. His local involvement also includes service as Bighorn County Fair superintendent, volunteer work with FFA and 4-H programs, and participation on the county tax appeal board. He also serves on the board of directors for Little Horn State Bank.
