2019 Global Gauntlet

A Trivia Competition of Global Proportions

Global Gauntlet — A Night of Fundraising, Friend-raising and Testing Your Knowledge of Global Affairs with a Sit-Down Dinner and Wine Raffle!

Join us for the unforgettable annual fundraiser of the Montana World Affairs Council – an adult team trivia competition like no other.

Global Gauntlet engages guests and tables of corporate, business and individual teams in a trivia competition modeled after the Council’s Academic WorldQuest youth competition. Enjoy a gourmet sit-down dinner, wine on every sponsor table, no-host cash bar, silent and live auction, and all proceeds support the Montana World Affairs Council’s global affairs programming, especially global education.

Global Gauntlet features six rounds of spirited global affairs trivia, a “battle of the brains” and always proves to be an unforgettably fun evening.

Individual and corporate sponsorships, starting at $250 for two tickets, up to $1000 for a large sponsored table and extensive name recognition, all help to contribute to a special event.

2019 Global Gauntlet will be held Friday, October 18th at the Hilton Garden Inn from 6:00pm-10:00pm

Mission Mountain Wood Band Reunion Benefit Concert coming to Missoula in March

Hailing from Montana, 6-piece bluegrass country rockers Official Mission Mountain Wood Band will make their long awaited return to Missoula for a special concert benefitting the Montana World Affairs Council.

Mark your calendar and save the date – Sunday, March 3rd. You won’t want to miss it. Global education for Montana youth needs our support and this event is all about it!

Following the concert, the World Affairs Council hosts the 15th Annual Academic WorldQuest (March 4th & 5th).  This year, a record number of high school students signed up, over 300 from all across Montana and many of the schools will need scholarship support to get the students here to Missoula. They’re coming from Browning and Fort Peck and many other very rural schools and that means a lot of miles for them to travel.

Scholarship support is needed for the following:
* Bus Transportation (bus rentals and gas)
* Bus Drivers
* Lodging (area hotels are providing discounts, but the students still need help)
* Meals
* Substitute Teachers

For many schools, those which are very rural and remote, and for many reservation schools, the budgets are extremely limited and they have to request scholarship support to attend. If you can help with a scholarship donation, we can get these students here for Academic WorldQuest and introduce them to a truly global landscape. There is no other event like this in Montana where students meet other international students – they meet diplomats and global leaders and filmmakers and governmental leaders including our very own!

We really can make a difference and we are very grateful to you for your support! Thank you so much.

Join us Sunday, March 3, 2019! Tickets & more info here.
