Based around two of Yeats great political poems, the presentation will deal with the role played by art and literature in the Celtic Revival in Irish Nationalism, in particular charting Yeats disillusionment with events in 1913 to his reevaluation following the Eater Rising in 1916.  Both poems will be read in full.

Gary Jermyn is a poet and playwright from Dublin.   His shows “Macklin: Method and Madness”, “Allergic to Beckett” and “My Life as a Chatshow Host” have all received critical and popular acclaim, both in Ireland and abroad. He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin.
