Justin Snyder will discuss the kinds of support that international organizations typically provide to support elections around the world, and why this is important, not only in the local context, but also in the context of America’s broader interests

Justin Snyder is a communications expert with 10 years of experience in democracy and governance, focused on programming to support accountability and electoral systems.  He currently serves as the Outreach and Engagement Specialist for the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in Burma, providing technical assistance and support to the election commission and civil society partners in the run-up to the 2020 general election. Previously, Justin worked on the on the USAID CEGAH project, dedicated to strengthening Indonesia’s community of accountability. In his eight years in Indonesia, Mr. Snyder worked closely with media, civil society organizations (CSOs), and donor programs to implement campaign finance monitoring campaigns, voter education initiatives, and media training activities. His portfolio of experience covers work in the fields of journalism, public service delivery, elections, anti-corruption, and environmental policy reform.
