Mr Lee will discuss Korea’s response to COVID19, examining trends of cases, strategies, tactics, policies, and response tools. He will also look at what the Korean Consulate has been doing to combat and recover from the COVID19, together with the Korean Community in northwestern America.  This will include sharing ideas and lessons learned to control future pandemics.


Hyung-Jong Lee is the Consul-General of the Korean Consulate-General, based in Seattle. He graduated from Seoul National University with a BA in Political Science and earned his Masters in Economic Science from the European Institute at University College Dublin, Ireland.  Mr.  Lee has been in the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade since 1990. He has held posts within the Ministry as well as serving in the OECD, Libya, Cambodia and now the United States.
