Karolo Aparicio is the Executive Director of EcoViva, a nonprofit organization that works in partnership and solidarity with community-led organizations in Central America organized to achieve environmental sustainability, economic security, social justice and peace. Karolo was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area to Guatemalan immigrant parents, and has spent time in rural and urban communities in Central America. He has previously worked as the Director of Individual Giving at International Rivers, Development Director at the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Sierra Club, and Director of Donor Services at the Global Fund for Women. He joins us on Council in the Radio today to discuss the work that EcoViva is doing in Central America.
