Montana Proud —- four young women from Gardiner High School, a small rural school just outside of Yellowstone National Park, were in Washington, DC to participate for the second year in a row, in the national competition of Academic WorldQuest.  While they didn’t win the competition, they did their best and had the opportunity to visit Washington, DC, an event that was underwritten by the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.

Also, as a result of the students winning the Montana competition, they and the second place team from Sentinel High School in Missoula will soon leave on an all expenses paid trip to Japan, underwritten by the Japanese government and submitted for this trip award by the Japanese Consul General to Seattle.
