On November16th, 2017, Ambassador Mark Johnson participated as the featured guest for the Montana World Affairs Council’s Distinguished Speakers Program. Speaking on “American Foreign Policy: Continuity or Chaos?”, Ambassador Johnson spoke to over 300 members of the Missoula Community at the Holiday Inn, reflecting on this last year in American foreign policy and offering his insight and thoughts to current world affairs.
Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney | Council in the Classroom
On November 16th, 2017, Montana Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney participated in a Council in the Classroom, speaking as part of the 2017 Global Water Challenge run by the Montana World Affairs Council. Lt. Gov. Cooney spoke about drought and water rights in Montana, in particular reflecting on this recent fire season and its impact on Montana’s environment and economy. Lt. Gov. Cooney spoke live via video conference with middle and high school students throughout Montana, taking questions pre-prepared by the students.
